BEN NISWANDER FOR METRO COUNCIL. SAME SELFIES.
One man. One city. An unreasonable number of selfies.
Posting every day until I’m elected to Nashville’s Metro Council.
THE VISION IS CLEAR.01 / MEET YOUR POSSIBLE COUNCIL MEMBER
Hi, I’m Ben. West Nashville resident. IT guy. Serious about running. Still telling dad jokes.
I started posting a selfie every day until I became mayor. Then came the plot twist: a pivot to Metro Council. Same Ben. Same selfies. Slightly revised job application. Fortunately, I bought benniswander.com instead of definitelythemayor.com.
What do you call a bulletproof Irishman? Rick O’Shea.

02 / BOLD IDEAS. LOOSE DEFINITIONS.
A sense of humor belongs in politics.
So does taking the job seriously.
If we can’t fix it immediately, we can at least introduce you. “Sorry I’m late. Hit Jonathan again.”
You deserve to know exactly what your potential council member looks like from a slightly worse angle than yesterday.
That’s the whole policy. The little lever is right there. We can do this, Nashville.

THE PRESSING QUESTIONS
Yes. The campaign has undergone a strategic adjustment, which is political language for “we changed the website.” Now it’s Ben for Council. The selfie streak survives the rebrand.
Yes. I’m serious about running for Nashville’s Metro Council. The jokes, the selfies, and the ridiculous sunglasses are part of how I show up—not a reason to dismiss why I’m here. I can laugh at myself and still take serving Nashville seriously.

First, we all take a deep breath. Then I locate the municipal onboarding documentation.
